I don't think there's anyone who'd dare to commit harakiri nowadays. However, since there are dozens of people in Japan, it's possible that there would be someone who practices this archaic ritual. Anyway, harakiri has already been an outdated way of committing suicide, and it has become extremely rare today. However sadly, Japan still has relatively high suicide rate.
