My question is: How do I access the 1900/1901 Census AND/OR birth records in Italy? I am trying to track down my ancestry, and my great great grandfather was from Italy, but I can't find any birth certificate or ship passenger listing of him coming into the US or being in Italy. His siblings set out from Naples to Ellis Island after he had already come to the US, so I'm assuming he left from Naples as well. He was born somewhere around 1885-1887 but I'm not sure what town or province. We think it's Salerno and I've also seen the word Campagna. Please help!!! Any ideas? I've been stuck on this for months! Thank you!
