Answers to question from Fashirah Parvin
The line between the rich and the poor in your country is huge. It is saddening to see such things. Tell me why India finds it so hard to become a developed nation. Give me ur opinions, and I will tell you what I think.

The root cause lies in India's burgeoning population. India has a population slightly smaller than that of China, but China is nearly 4 to 6 times larger than our country in terms of area. This puts a lot of strain on our resources and funds. However hard our Government tries to implement various Employment schemes and Rural Development Schemes, they fall short because of the sheer enormity of the population. Also one cannot discount the corruption factor. A recent Government report has shown that due to corruption, for every single Indian Rupee that the Goovernment allots for Developmental Schemes, only 16 Paise (0.16 Rupee) actually reach the masses. All these factors weigh down India in her race to become a developed country.
I think the difference exists in any nation. To speak of the most developed nation (supposedly), US, I think they are even more poor than any other country. Seeing their deficit levels would confirm this. And being developed or not, I am not sure if there is any body defining this criteria, but India certainly has come up the ladder and its importance can be felt with the significance it is getting in important global decision making. Although I am curious, why you are inviting other's opinion. Would have been more interesting if you could have shared your opinion first.
