I have many Argentinean friends, and I've been to Argentina many times, in fact I've just came back from Patagonia a couple weeks ago. One question: Does ANYBODY support Cristina? Everyone I talk to seems to hate the Kirchner couple... How about you guys?

Hey AleAssis, thanks for asking! There are small groups of the population who still support them, but in general their popularity is as low as it can get. You can check this survey: http://blogs.clarin.com/politica-internacional-e-intercultural/2009/10/1/la-popularidad-los-presidentes-latinoamericanos-2009 Personally, I do not support the Kirchners at all. Nestor's presidency seemed to be good at first, and his policies, specially regarding economics (with the help of former minister Eduardo Lavagna) were very appropriate for the time. Still, he lacked long-term policies. His government was lucky to have high international prices for our commodities, but instead of using that to develop the country, he just started using the money to "buy votes" in the way Chavez does. Education in the Kirchner times went down faster than ever before, and is going down faster than any other country in Latin America. This is really sad, specially considering that we were proud of having some of the world's best education, and we still are I believe, but the future never looked so dark. What these guys did was stealing money like no other government did before, and their selfishness and arrogance fed up the whole population. They just don't stop lying, they use for their campaign false information all the time (i.e., they make up lies about the construction of buildings that never took place), they screwed up the statistics completely, and they keep trying to divide the population, blaming a group of people for certain matters. Their wealth distribution policies are nothing but a lie, since all their rich friends have all the tax benefits you can imagine and don't pay a dime, while the middle, middle-high and the low high classes pay ridiculous taxes. They also have several accusations for illicit maneuvers, and their answer to everything is being aggressive, and using their power in the government to do illegal things all the time (changing laws already passed, passing laws without the approval of the congress, etc.). I love history and I read about every single president. And since the question is directed towards "we guys", my answer is simple: THERE HAS NOT BEEN A WORST GOVERNMENT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY, AND THE KIRCHNERS DESERVE JAIL, AS OUR LAWS DEMAND. Thanks for asking again AleAssis! Lucky Brazilians, you do have a good president. Cheers, Diego

Hi, Ale, I got impressed with the previous answer by Mr. Diego Delfino -excellent! I don´t know Mr. Delfino, but he expresses quite accurately the views of a majority of the Argentinian population about Cristina Kirchner and her husband, Nestor. Enjoy Lula, Ale!

Anybody who is reasonable and understand human resources (that's quite mere)doesn't support our president policies since they are not for all alike. This is the worst government in the history of our country, insecurity, robberies,ZERO DEVELOPMENT POLICIES. QUIT CRISTINA,QUIT PLEASE!

Well, argentinians have a bad memory. What about campera, Peron, Isabelita and Mr Menem? Unfortunately, based on my experience, a corrupted political system, will always deliver corrupted candidates. What is the option Macri!!!!
